  • Joe is the owner and director of Baseball Plus as well as Recruiting Coordinator and Assistant Coach at Amherst College Amherst has advanced to the NCAA D3 Regional Tournament Espinosa’s first two years as a Lord Jeff coach, winning the NESCAC title in 2013.
  • In addition to helping with the team’s hitters, Joe serves as the team’s infield coach.
  • Under Espinosa's guidance, the 2014 Jeffs posted a .967 fielding percentage and .301 batting average.
  • While working with the infielders in 2013, shortstop Taiki Kasuga earned recognition as the NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year.
  • A native of Miami, Fla., Espinosa has over thirty years of experience as a professional scout, camp director, and private instructor and is a Certified Epstein Hitting Instructor.

  • From Paul: During the past fifteen years I have seen too many young players struggle because of their approach to hitting. Many of their struggles are due to mis-information that has been passed down through the years and has taken the fun out of playing for them. I have a passion for the game and a desire to help struggling players to hit and compete at a higher level.


  • Stephan brings over twenty years of baseball pitching, coaching and administrative experience to Baseball Plus. Among his many career highlights.
  • He is the Co-Founder of Old World Baseball, an organization that takes 17-18 year old players to play and tour Europe each summer.
  • Stephan served as the Head Coach of the Great Britain Senior National Team from 2004 to 2010.
  • He was named 2007 British Baseball Federation Coach of the Year.
  • He has managed professionally in the European League as well as in the Frontier Professional League in the US.
  • He served as the Pitching Coach at Iona College and was the Head Varsity Baseball Coach at Rye Country Day School.
  • Stephan pitched for legendary Pitching Coach Bill Thurston at Amherst College and was a team captain in 1992.
  • Rapaglia went on to pitch in Houston Astros organization before pitching pro ball in Holland and Germany as well as in the Northeast Professional League.
